Overview
The GDS Tough-Dock iPad mount provides a spring-loaded vehicle docking solution for compatible Apple iPads in an IntelliSkin® Next Gen protective sleeve. This Apple GDS tablet dock uses GDS Technology with an integrated pogo-pin connector for high-speed charging, while the USB Type-C female connector supplies power to the dock. The iPad IntelliSkin charging dock supports the Apple iPad 10th and 11th Gen, iPad Air 4 and 5, iPad Air 11 (M2, M3, M4), and iPad Pro 11″ 1st–4th Gen and M4/M5 models.
The spring-loaded GDS iPad dock uses a 4-hole AMPS pattern and works with B or C size RAM ball and socket systems with the required adapter. The USB-C Tough-Dock charging station also supports the GDS Hand-Stand Hand Strap and Kickstand attachment and carries a 3-year warranty.

- What is the RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP32CPU?
The RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP32CPU is a GDS® Tough-Dock™ vehicle dock designed for compatible Apple iPads used with IntelliSkin® Next Gen protective sleeves. It uses a spring-loaded docking mechanism and integrated GDS® Technology™ pogo-pin charging.
- Which iPads are compatible with this GDS Tough-Dock?
The dock is compatible with the iPad 10th Gen, iPad 11th Gen, iPad Air 4, iPad Air 5, iPad Air 11 (M2, M3, M4), iPad Pro 11 1st–4th Gen, and iPad Pro 11 (M4 & M5), when used with IntelliSkin® Next Gen.
- Does the dock include IntelliSkin?
No. IntelliSkin® Next Gen is not included with the RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP32CPU.
- How does the GDS Tough-Dock charge an iPad?
The dock uses an integrated GDS® Technology™ pogo-pin connector to provide charging to a compatible iPad in an IntelliSkin® Next Gen sleeve. Power is supplied to the dock through its USB Type-C connector.
- What is the power output?
RAM specifies 5V–20V @ 3A, with a maximum power output of 60W.
- Does this GDS Tough-Dock require a PD charger?
Yes. RAM states that a Power Delivery (PD) charger is required to supply sufficient power to the device.
- What mounting pattern does the dock use?
The dock uses a 4-Hole AMPS pattern measuring 1.181″ × 1.496″ and requires the appropriate 4-hole AMPS ball adapter when used with B or C size RAM ball and socket systems.
- Is the GDS Tough-Dock compatible with the GDS Hand-Stand?
Yes. RAM lists compatibility with the GDS® Hand-Stand™ Hand Strap and Kickstand attachment.
