Technically, someone can still sit in the passenger seat while the RAM-VB-195-SW1 is installed. However, the mount does take up a considerable amount of legroom, making the passenger seat less comfortable. If you need to quickly remove the mount to create more passenger space, we recommend using the RAM-VB-REM1 Remove-A-Pole™ Base, which allows the mounting system to be removed without uninstalling the entire base.
