- Can someone sit in the passenger seat while this mount is installed?
Technically, someone can still sit in the passenger seat while the RAM-VB-193-SW1 is installed. However, the mount does take up a considerable amount of legroom, making the passenger seat less comfortable. If you need to quickly remove the mount to create additional passenger space, we recommend installing the RAM-VB-REM1 Remove-A-Pole™ Base, which allows the mounting system to be removed without uninstalling the base.
- Will this mount work in my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?
Yes. The RAM-VB-193-SW1 is compatible with the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
This mount is best suited for trucks equipped with bucket seats and a full center console. If your truck has a 40/20/40 split bench seat, the RAM-VB-191-SW1 may be a better option. Please note that installation of the RAM-VB-193-SW1 may require minor trimming of the plastic trim near the passenger-side seat rail. Also, the RAM-VB-191-SW1 is only compatible with 4×2 models and is not compatible with floor-mounted 4×4 shifters.
- Can I purchase only the base for newer model years instead of replacing the entire mount?
Yes, if a component from the RAM-VB-193-SW1 kit is available for individual purchase, it will be listed in the Components section near the bottom of the product page, just above the Frequently Bought Together section. This allows you to replace individual components rather than purchasing a complete mounting system when applicable.
