The RAM-VB-168-SW1 Heavy Duty Truck No-Drill Laptop Mount installs quickly using the existing passenger-side seat hardware with no drilling required, creating a secure mobile workstation for professional drivers. Designed as a universal mounting solution for Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, and Volvo heavy-duty trucks, this system also serves as a Kenworth Mobile Office Mount, Peterbilt Laptop Mount, Freightliner Laptop Mount, and Volvo Truck Laptop Mount for reliable in-cab computing.
This Heavy Duty Truck No-Drill Laptop Mount features telescoping upper and lower poles for adjustable height, a triple swing arm providing up to 18 inches of reach, and patented RAM® ball and socket technology for exceptional adjustability and vibration damping. The included legacy RAM® Tough-Tray™ securely supports laptops from 10″ to 16″ and is ideal for Fleet Truck Laptop Mount, Commercial Fleet Laptop Mount, Long Haul Truck Laptop Mount, Transportation, Logistics, Delivery Fleet, and other trucking industry applications. - Can someone sit in the passenger seat while this mount is installed?
Technically someone can still sit in the passenger seat when this mount is installed but the mount does take up a considerable amount of leg room and it does make the passenger seat much less comfortable. If you want to be able to quickly remove the mount to make room for a passenger you could install our Remove-A-Pole base (RAM-VB-REM1).
- Can this mount be mounted on the driver right side of the seat?
No, this is only intended for under the passenger seat.
- I have a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia with an air ride passenger seat. Will this mount work with this seat? And does it mount on the side of the seat or the back of the seat?
No, the RAM-VB-168-SW1 will not fit with the air-ride passenger seat. The floor under the passenger seat must be flat. You can review the full installation instructions found in the “Resources” tab of the product page for a visual.
