The RAP-B-121-AP9U is a composite clamp base mount assembly that will accommodate a rail or edge lip from 5/8 inch to 1.25 inches (commonly used in aviation applications). The assembly includes a standard sized arm, universal diamond plate and cradle for the following devices:

RAP-B-121-AP9U Includes the Following:

  • Socket Ball Size: B-Ball Size = 1.0 inch Ball. Maximum suggested weight 5 lbs.
  • RAP-B-121-AP9U includes the RAP-B-121-238U shown below. The RAP-B-121-202U consists of the RAP-B-121BU, RAP-B-201U and RAP-B-238U.


  • Yoke Base: RAP-B-121BU composite clamp base mount accommodates a rail or edge lip from 5/8 inch to a maximum of 1.25 inches. The 1 inch rubber ball sits at a right angle to the plane of the mount so when connected to a rail, the ball sits parallel to the rail. To mount the base, simply place the clamps around the rail or edge and then screw the large knob at the end of the threaded rod. The hand tightened clamp makes this the perfect mounting system for rental planes and unusual shaped motorbike rails. The rail does not need to be perfectly round to use this base.
  • Arm: RAP-B-201U standard length arm for 1 inch balls. The arm measures 2.875 inches between socket centers (3.6875 inches in overall length). A plastic twist knob allows you to articulate the arm in any direction. 
  • Adapter: RAP-B-238U universal diamond plate with pre-drilled holes that accommodates the AMPS hole pattern.
  • Cradle: Included RAM-HOL-AP9U high strength plastic holder for the Apple iPhone specified above. Place the top of the Apple iPhone into the cradle, and then push the base into the expandable arms at the bottom of the holder. The arms will then snap into place when the iPhone is completely secured in the cradle. The cradle allows all cables (not included) to stay connected while the iPhone unit is in the cradle. Hardware to attach the holder/cradle to the RAP-B-238U is included.
