DESCRIPTION
 
The RAM No-Drill mounting base features a heavy-duty steel mounting base custom designed to fit these vehicles perfectly. Using the passenger side seat rail bolts as attachment points, existing hardware is used to secure the base in the vehicle. This configuration provides a telescoping feature that ranges from 12 to 18 inches. The double swing arm provides articulation and 12 inches of reach for passenger and driver access to the mounted device. Patented rubber ball and socket joint provides additional adjustment as well as shock and vibration isolation. This vehicle base kit comes with a swing arm and the RAM-HOL-TAB-SMU to mount your 7” tablet.

    • Tablet cradle fits devices within the following dimensions:
    Height Range: 7" - 10"
    Width Range: 4" - 5.31"
    Depth Range: .44" - 1.06"
NOTE: If the heater box in under the seat, the installer may need to drill holes in the base to accommodate vehicle mounting holes or studs. Also, the heater box may cause the system to sit higher than normal. Pole may be cut down by installer to lower kit. This will not void the warranty.

RAM-VB-168-RO1-TABSM Features:

  • Warranty: Manufacturer's, RAM Mounts (National Products Inc.), Limited Life Time Warranty.
  • Mounting Plate: RAM-202U is a marine grade aluminum 2.5 inch diameter plate with pre-drilled holes (AMPS hole compatible) and 1.5 inch diameter rubber ball
  • Articulating Arm: RAM-VB-110-1U black powder coated steel dual swing arm with 12 inches of total extension. Connects to the Tough Tray and upper tele-pole.
  • Note: The RAM-VB-110-1U consists of the RAM-VB-110-5U and RAM-VB-109-3U.
  • Telescoping Pole: "Tele-Pole" showed assembled with bottom tele-pole RAM-VB-TBF18U and upper tele-pole RAM-VB-TTM12U (far left picture below). The tele-pole allows a height adjustment range from 18 to 24 inches. For an even more custom installation, the tele-pole may be easily cut with a hack saw to a more desired length.

  • Upper Tele-Pole: RAM-VP-TTM12U black powder coated steel 12 inch upper tele-pole mates to the articulating arm and lower tele-pole.
  • Upper Tele-Pole Dimensions: A = 1.328" OD, B = 2.5", C = 12"
  • Lower Tele-Pole: RAM-VB-TBF18U black powder coated steel 18 inch lower tele-pole mates to the upper tele-pole and vehicle base.
  • Lower Tele-Pole Dimensions: A = 1.375" OD, B = 3.5", C = 18"
  • Vehicle Base: RAM-VB-168 no-drill base for the specified vehicles.
    • Seat Configuration: Bucket/bench seats only.
    • Installation: No-drill installation. Attaches to existing seat studs.
    • Mount/Base Placement: Passenger side on the floor, under front seat.
    • NOTE: Vehicle base will limit seat travel.
    Vehicle Base Dimensions:
    • Dimension A: 19.56 inches
    • Dimension B: 14.37 inches
    • Dimension C: 1.10 inches

  • NOTE: If your vehicle is equipped with an airbag sensor under the seat disconnect the sensor before installing the vehicle base. (If unsure contact your local car dealer.) The video shown is for installation reference and may show additional or less parts than your vehicle base (RAM stabilizer foot that attaches to the base/lower tele-pole as shown in the video). Simply follow the video without installing these components if your vehicle base does not include these parts. Your vehicle base may connect to the seat track bolts differently than shown in the video. The instructions shown to install the RAM tele-pole system, swing arm assembly and Tough Tray are the same for all RAM No-Drill laptop systems regardless of the vehicle base used.
