This RAM universal holder is part of the RAP-SB-178 series of adhesive base plate holders. The RAP-SB-178-UN2U includes the RAP-SB-178U and the RAM-HOL-UN2U. The RAP-SB-178 will accommodate any RAM Plastic Holder (RAM-HOL) and can be used with Apple, cell phone and GPS holders.

The Medium RAM side clamping cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of cell phones and electronic devices such as the iPod MINI and Nano. This cradle has padded locking side clamps that close tightly on the item you want to hold. To release the clamp hold, simply press the button found at the bottom left side of the cradle which will spring the clamps open. At the base of the cradle are two small supports to hold the bottom of the item securely in the cradle. The RAM side clamping cradle is designed to be used in a closed cabin environment. The side clamping cradle is only a light weight cradle and may not hold your device in a high vibration situations as found on a motorcycle.

The high strength composite semi-permanent adhesive mount base consists of a 2.5 inch diameter flexible base. The base includes a RAM-202PSA 3M semi-permanent adhesive disk pad that attaches firmly to a flat surface.
