DESCRIPTION
 
The RAP-B-231U is a high strength composite rail mount/handlebar base with a 1 inch diameter plastic ball. Most commonly used as a mountain bike or road bicycle base base.

NOTE: This base is NOT RECOMMENDED for motorcycle or high vibration use.  An alternative would be the RAM-B-231 and RAM-B-149 rail mount u-bolt family of mount.

The RAP-B-231U Features and Options:
  • Warranty: Manufacturer's, National Products Inc., life time warranty.
  • Base Material: Black powder coated marine grade aluminum.
  • Base Ball Size: B ball sized 1 inch diameter plastic ball.
  • Base Description: RAP-B-231U high strength composite handlebar base or universal round pipe rail base with 1 inch diameter plastic ball. The rail 'U' Clamp will fit a circular rail with diameter from 1.0 inch to 1.1 inches and is popular for mountain and road bikes.
  • Hardware Included: Yes. Screw and nut to secure the base is included.
NOTE: Placing a rubber lining such as an intertube (not included) between the rail and mount when the rail diameter is less than 1 inch.  This will help the base 'grab' the rail more securely.
