NOTE: The top of the cradle is open allowing electronic devices to be taller than the height of the cradle. The RAM side clamping cradle is designed to be used in a closed cabin environment. The side clamping cradle is only a light weight cradle and may not hold your device in a high vibration situations as found on a motorcycle. If used on a motorcycle the electronic device should be tethered to the cradle.

• Cradle Material: Black high strength composite with rubber bumpers.
• Cradle Hole Pattern: The back of the cradle has two pre-drilled holes compatible with the AMPS hole pattern (1.912 inches from center hole to center hole).
• Manufacturer's Description: The RAM universal spring loading clamping cradle includes side clamps with rubber bumpers that adjust accordingly to the width of your device, securing your device in the cradle. The feet at the base of the cradle can pivot and slide, creating an opening for larger devices to be attached. A release button, located on the bottom right side of the cradle, allows for quick release of your device. Also included are two threaded inserts and a set of two nuts/bolts to connect the cradle to any of the RAM compatible mounts. Primary mounting applications for the clamping cradle is in LOW VIBRATION environments including cars, trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Cradle Hardware: Includes a set of nuts and bolts to connect to the OPTIONAL RAM-B-238U diamond plate adapter.
• Optional Cradle Adapter: The optional RAM-B-238U is a diamond plate adapter with two pre-drilled holes (compatible with the AMPS hole pattern) that attaches to the back of the cradle. The RAM-B-238U has a 1 inch rubber ball that will connect to other RAM 1 inch socket accessories (i.e. RAM-B-201 series arm, etc).

  • RAM-B-238U diamond adapter plate is the most common type of adapter used to attach to RAM cradles (RAM-HOL-xxxx). The RAM-B-238U is required to attach to any RAM 1 inch ball sized arm.

       

• Waterproof Aqua Box with Soft Touch Flex Lens:

  • The electronic device sits in the aqua box using included foam inserts. The RAM-HOL-xxxx cradle is not needed to secure the electronic device in the aqua box. Padlock not included.
  • Can be mounted in the vertical or horizontal position.

• Portability: The RAP-326 quick release adapter allows the cradle to be easily removed and moved to another mounting device without tools.
  • Perfect for sharing electronic device between applications (i.e. motorcycle Garmin GPS device moved to automobile suction cup mount).
  • Includes RAP-326FU female and RAP-326MU male adapters.
  • Quick release allows the electronic device to stay attached in the cradle while quickly being disconnected from the RAM-B-238U. Cradle can then be re-attached to another mounting application that also has the RAM-B-238U.
  • Requires the RAP-326MU male adapter for the second application being attached too. The RAP-326FU mates to the RAP-326MU and the RAP-326MU mates to the RAM-B-238U.
