Manufacturer's Description: Even with RAM's rock solid designs, there is sometimes a need for additional support. If your laptop is on the heavier side or your mobile office spends some time off-road, RAM has the solution. This versatile, durable, and adaptable stabilizer can be used as a bolt-in or no-drill option and is compatible with a wide range of RAM products. Ideally suited for RAM No-Drillvehicle laptop systems, the stabilizer leg has no sharp edges and can be cut to length to meet specific needs. For added rigidity, you won't find a more dynamic product.
- Installation Instructions: The use of the stabilizer foot is recommended to reduce bounce in certain applications. Simply replace one of the carriage bolts holding the pole system or riser with the stabilizer foot as shown. You will need a box wrench to tighten the hardware. Slide the bolt through the foot then slide a lock washer over the thread so it rest on the foot. Place a nut over the thread and tighten to secure the foot over the head of the bolt. Next, thread another nut over the bolt and slide another lock washer over the thread. Have this nut and washer about 1 inch off the foot prior to final adjustment. Now, pass the foot up through the base from the bottom. Once through the base, slide the flat washer, lock washer, then thread the nut over the bolt. Position foot while hardware is loose so it is supporting the base off the floor. Once in position, tighten the nut so that it forces the foot down against the vehicle floor board.
