The RAM-B-177U marine grade aluminum glare shield mount consists of a 1 inch diameter ball base (RAM-B-259U), the RAM-B-201U -A short arm and RAM-B-238U universal diamond plate. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products.

RAM-B-259U Base: Powder coated marine grade aluminum u-channel clamp base. This glare shield clamp mount with clamp mounts is designed to mount to the lip edge of a flat surface up to 1 inch thick. Popular mounting edges include a glare shield on an airplane.

The base has two plastic bolts that, when tightened, clamp the base to the lip surface. A RAM 1 inch diameter rubber ball is connected to the base allowing you to connect a RAM 1 inch diameter arm socket and connection plates to create the perfect mount for your application.

RAM-B-201U-A Arm: The RAM-B-201U-A (RAM-B-201-A) is a powder coated marine grade aluminum SHORT 1.75 inch double socket arm and has a socket at either end to allow a 1 inch diameter ball accessory to be connected.

A tightening screw on the side of the arm enables the sockets to clamp firmly to a RAM 1 inch diameter ball. When loosening the side screw, the arm opens releasing the sockets allowing you to pivot the ball and socket connection or completely disconnect the ball from the socket.

The arm length is 1.75 inches when measured from socket center to socket center. The total length of the arm is 2.38 inches.

RAM-B-238U Diamond Plate: The RAM-B-238U is a powder coated marine grade aluminum universal diamond plate. This plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected to the 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch diamond plate. The diamond plate has two holes positioned 1.9 inches from center to center. The hole pattern found on the diamond plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts including RAM plastic holders/cradles (RAM-HOL-xxxx) and those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern.
