The RAM-B-138-AP8U is a flat surface marine grade aluminum mount that has a 2.5 inch diameter flat surface base with pre-drilled holes, standard sized arm, universal round adapter plate with cradle for the following devices (without a bumper cover, case or skin):
  • Apple iPad 1st Generation
  • Apple iPad 2
  • HP TouchPad 1st Generation

RAM-B-138-AP8U Includes the Following:

  • Warranty: Manufacturer's, RAM Mounts (National Products Inc.), Limited Life Time Warranty.
  • Color/Material: Black power coated marine grade aluminum. Chrome is also available.
  • Socket Ball Size: B-Ball Size = 1.0 inch ball. Max Weight 5 lbs.
  • Overall Length: Please click here or on Technical Specs above to see the overall length dimensions.
  • Base: RAM-B-202U 2.5 inch diameter base with pre-drilled holes and 1 inch diameter rubber ball. The pre-drilled holes accommodate the AMPS hole pattern. Mounting hardware is NOT INCLUDED.
  • Arm: RAM-B-201U standard length arm for 1 inch balls. The arm measures 2.875 inches between socket centers (3.6875 inches in overall length). A plastic twist knob allows you to articulate the arm in any direction.
    • A longer arm RAM-B-201U-C, 5.25 inches from socket center to socket center is available. Please see RAM-B-138U-C for the complete assembly.
    • NOTE: The holder is not included in the RAM-B-138U-C.
  • Adapter: RAM-B-202U 2.5 inch diameter base with pre-drilled holes and 1 inch diameter rubber ball. The pre-drilled holes accommodate the AMPS hole pattern.
  • Holder/Cradle: RAM-HOL-AP8U high strength plastic holder for the devices specified above. Place the top of the device into the cradle, and then push the base into the expandable arms at the bottom of the holder. The arms will then snap into place when the device is completely secured in the cradle. The cradle allows all cables (not included) to stay connected while the device unit is in the cradle. Hardware to attach the holder/cradle to the RAM-B-202U is included.

RAM-B-201U Detailed Description: Black powder coated marine grade aluminum arm allows a 1 inch diameter ball accessory to be connected at either end. A tightening knob on the side of the arm enables the sockets to clamp firmly to the attached accessories. The arm allows for easy adjustment by loosening the side knob, a single spring inside the arm opens the sockets, allowing the arm to pivot on the attached accessory. This enables the arm and accessories to be positioned at various angles allowing the ultimate in position flexibility. Loosen the knob completely and the arm will disconnect from the accessories.
