The RAM-B-121-AP8U is a marine grade aluminum yoke mount that consists of the RAM-B-121-202U assembly (yoke clamp mount base, standard sized length arm, universal round plate) and cradle for the following devices (WITHOUT a bumper cover, case or skin):
  • Apple iPad 1st Generation
  • Apple iPad 2
  • Apple iPad 3 / iPad HD
  • HP TouchPad 1st Generation

RAM-B-121-AP8U Includes the Following:

  • RAM-B-121-AP8U includes the RAM-B-121-202U (shown below). The RAM-B-121-202U consists of the RAM-B-121BU (accommodates a rail diameter from 0.625" to 1.25"), RAM-B-201U and RAM-B-202U.
    NOTE: Picture, far left, below shows a diamond plate adapter versus the included RAM-B-202U adapter for illustration purposes.
  • Yoke Base: RAM-B-121BU aluminum yoke clamp mount base fits a rail diameter from 5/8 inch to a maximum of 1.25 inches. The 1 inch rubber ball sits at a right angle to the plane of the mount so when connected to a rail, the ball sits parallel to the rail. To mount the base, simply place the yoke clamps around the rail and then screw the large knob at the end of the threaded rod. The hand tightened clamp makes this the perfect mounting system for rental planes and unusual shaped motorbike rails. The rail does not need to be perfectly round to use this base.
  • Arm: RAM-B-201U standard length arm for 1 inch balls. The arm measures 2.875 inches between socket centers (3.6875 inches in overall length). A plastic twist knob allows you to articulate the arm in any direction. 
  • Adapter: RAM-B-202U universal 2.5 inch round diameter plate with pre-drilled holes that accommodates the AMPS hole pattern.
  • Cradle: Included RAM-HOL-AP8U high strength plastic holder for the devices specified above. Place the top of the device into the cradle, and then push the base into the expandable arms at the bottom of the holder. The arms will then snap into place when the device is completely secured in the cradle. The cradle allows all cables (not included) to stay connected while the device unit is in the cradle. Hardware to attach the holder/cradle to the RAM-B-202U is included.
